SPACE

EXPLORATION

A dive into the various effects of the industry on the citizens of America.

What are the impacts of space exploration on the Average people of America?

About me:

One of my earliest childhood memories is coming home from my first week of kindergarten, and immediately running to my basement to watch the original Star Wars trilogy. Since then, I've been hooked on anything space related. Dr. Who and the X-Files are simply two more examples of some of my favorite space related media. Science and math have alway been my favorite subject in school. At around the age of 12, after a lengthy conversation about space dust, and what would happen if the sun exploded, my Great Uncle David gifted me the book, A Briefer History of Time, by Stephen Hawking. Not only did this book add to my collection of space related literature, it inspired me to see the technical side of my curiosities. I came to realize that I could make something of my interests, which takes us to today. As a senior in high school, my simple fascination with anything extraterrestrial has turned into something real, as I am now considering physics and engineering as potential major/career options (astrophysics and aeronautical engineering to be specific). The constant thoughts I've been having regarding my future has led me to wonder, how does such an out-of-this-world industry affect normal people like you and I?
